Day Trip from Luxor to Cairo by Flight

Luxortt Travel Services representative will pick you up from your hotel in Luxor at 4:30 AM to travel to Luxor Airport.

Take your flight to Cairo where you will be met and assisted by our representative. After that, Your Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you to discover the magnificent pyramids of, Cheops, Chephern, and Mykerinus, the sphinx with a head of a pharaoh and a lion's body, which dates back to the time of king Chephren, and the valley temple of the pyramid of Chephren. Stop for lunch at local restaurant in Cairo.

Then you will continue to the Egyptian Museum with artifacts from the pharaonic period. The museum exhibits a rare collection of 5,000 years of art that is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. More than 250,000 genuine artifacts are presented, including an exhibit dedicated to the Tutankhamen collection of treasures, gold, and jewelry that was enclosed in his tomb for over 3,500 years before being discovered in the 1920s when his tomb was excavated.

Then you will drive up to the Saladin Citadel, constructed by Salah al-Din on the Moqattam Hills in 1183 AD as a defense against Crusader armies. Known for its fresh air and sweeping views of Cairo , it is now a preserved historic site of mosques and museums, including the Mosque of Muhammad Ali Pasha.

The mosque's alabaster structure stands in beautiful contrast to the sandstone city.

Then, visit Old Cairo to see major attractions such as the Hanging Church, the Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga, one of the oldest Coptic churches in Cairo

Continue to the Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, one of the oldest bazaars in the Middle East. Discover a maze of alleys that have been at the center of Cairo’s trading activities since the 14th century. 

In the evening you will be transferred to Cairo airport for the flight to Luxor. Upon arrival at Luxor Airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Luxor.
